Two Potters
Becca Van Fleet Webb & Nathan Webb are a pair of newlywed potters living in central Vermont.
We live in a blue 160-year old farmhouse in the middle of a big field. Our place is the site of a former dairy farm, but we are working steadily at transforming it to the pottery of our dreams!

When we're not making pottery, or teaching pottery to others, or doing pottery business things, we like to play with our puppy, grow our own food, ride bikes, swim, walk in the woods, and drive our 1970's-era tractor. And while we're doing these things, we're often dreaming about our own solar and hydropower, a future flock of happy chickens, and feeding ourselves solely from our garden!
Nathan grew up in Tennessee, Nebraska, Texas, and New Hampshire. He got a studio art degree from Bates College in Maine, and has worked at potteries around the country making everything from miniature porcelain teapots to historic reproduction salt ware.
Becca was raised by back-to-the-land parents in New Hampshire and on the coast of Maine. She majored in art at Swarthmore College, and then moved back to the New Hampshire woods to be a full-time studio potter.

Nathan and Becca were both pursuing careers in clay in neighboring states when they met in 2008 . . . Nathan saw Becca's pottery in a gallery, and called her to see if she’d be a guest instructor at his studio. They hit it off on the phone, kayaked, hiked, and biked, got engaged, and promptly began collecting bricks and boards to build their dream pottery on 50 beautiful acres in central Vermont.
